Welcome back! I don't know about all of you but fall is my honest to god favorite time of the year! The horrid heat is gone and it's boots and hoodie season. Not to mention the gorgeous colors that come with it. Who's with me? Unfortunantly along with the wonderful season comes a lot of skin and hair issues for me. My wintertime dry skin is kicking in to high gear and my hair is just as bad. Fortunantly over the years I have found some products that work beautifully so that I can look my best while enjoying the beauty of the season change! Sorry in advance for the picture quality. We still need to get a new camera but I will give a detailed list below as well as links on where you can get these! Here we go!
1. Viscose Exfoliating Body Towel - I could not live without this mitt! Its a product that is an absolute must have for Koreans. You simply just slip the mitt on your hand, wet it in the shower, and gently rub this on your body and face (yes, it is safe to use on both).
2. Tone Radiant Glow Illuminating Body Wash - This find was completely accidental! I was out looking for a new body wash and was randomly opening and smelling all of them and I fell in love with this scent (diamond dust and lotus blossom). It lathers so nicely and has a shimmery effect you can't help but love!
3. Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant - Very affordable and works like magic! I have been using Vaseline brand moisturizers for YEARS and I always go back to it! It absorbs so quickly and doesn't leave you feeling oily or greasy. It's great for those areas that tend to get rough like the elbows and knees.
4. Gillette Venus & Olay - Let's get real, who really shaves in the wintertime? At least as often as during those warm summer month. Am I right, ladies? Well these are great for those times when you do decide it's time. No shaving cream required and you can't beat those olay moisture bars! Plus another thing I love about Venus razors is that as long as it's a Venus brand, the cartridge will fit any razor handle!
5. Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer - This is a new favorite. I'm one of those girls that hates the idea of getting in the shower but once I get in there I DO NOT want to get out! The hot water and the "me" time is hard to leave. This gives me an awesome excuse to linger just a little longer all while being productive. It absorbs surprisingly quickly and the softness lasts!
6. Degree Motionsense anti-perspirant & deodorant - This really isn't a skincare product persay but it's still an absolute must have. This is another old favotite. I tend to sweat a lot (GROSS) during the months that require bundling up because when I'm in and out of the heat, it just really messes with my body temperature.
1. Clean & Clear Night Relaxing deep cleaning face wash - I actually got this in a set deal at Target with the morning burst cleanser but I really like it. It has a light scent that actually does help you calm and relax yourself before bed.
2. Clean & Clear Morning Burst skin brightening facial cleanser - LOVE this! I am NOT a morning person at all. I hate mornings so I love the citrus scent that helps wake me up in the morning when I'm feeling groggy and not motivated to do anything!
3. EOS Lip Balm - I have so many of these lip balms. I keep one in the car, one in my purse, the diaper bag, and my end table. These really help to keep my lips hydrated when they're feeling dry and chapped. I always put it on after my morning and evening face care routine.
4. Burt's Bees Eye Cream - This is perfect for sensitive skin. My eyes tend to get puffy when I don't get much sleep (all the time) and this eye cream with the cotton extract really does the trick. I have found that when I use it before bed I don't have to use so much concealer in the morning. And it also moisturizes the eye area!
5. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - These are perfection! They remove all of my makeup at the end of the day (even the waterproof stuff) and clean really well. I always use these before I wash my face with a cleanser.
6. Olay Regenerist Luminous Facial Oil - These I usually use at night right after cleansing and before applying my serum or moisturizer. It feels AMAZING when you apply it (like a facial in a dropper) and leaves my skin feeling super soft and has never given me any problems with breakouts.
7. Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum - A little on the pricey side but I think it's worth it. I use this after my oil drops and and it's like velvet. When I wake up in the morning my face looks so refreshed and glowing.
8. Activated Charcoal - This may sound odd but every so often I will brush my teeth with these when I think they are getting dingy. This, in my opinion, is the easiest and cheapest way to whiten your teeth. I drink a lot of coffee and tea so this stuff is a lifesaver! I just break open a capsule and dump it on a toothbrush I use specifically for this and brush for about 5 minutes. The great thing is, after you rinse you see an immediate difference.
9. clarisonic mia - My holy grail. The clarisonic mia is definantly something to invest in. It really gets deep into your pores and leaves your skin so, so clean. I only use it once a day, usually at bedtime because I feel that using it twice daily would be a bit too irritating for my sensitive skin.
10. L'oreal Age Perfect Glow Renewal Day Lotion - This is great for everyday of the year! It does leave your skin looking healthier and glowing. Plus you just can't beat that extra SPF! I wear this under my makeup.
1. Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo - I only wash my hair 2-3 times per week becuase washing too much is just all around bad for your hair. This gets all the excess oils out without leaving a gross residue behind and it help a lot with volume!
2. L'oreal Total Repair Shampoo - Leaves my hair clean and shiny! The total repair help with the dryness after just one wash. No joke, it feels like silk!
3. L'oreal Total Repair Conditioner - Same as the shampoo! Need I say more?
4. TRESemme Heat Protectant Leave-In Spray - We all know what the constant use of a hair dryer, curling iron, straitening iron, crimper, curling wand, or whatever your poison is can do to your hair, right? This will protect it from up to 450 degrees F of heat so you can use your tools and look pretty without doing too much damage. Sounds like a win to me!
5. Garnier Sleek & Shine Leave-In Conditioning Cream - I have naturally stick straight hair so when my ends get frizzy or I have those random fly-aways, it shows! This helps keep my hair under control during the day and when I put it in at night before bed (on dry or damp hair) my hair is so soft in the morning, I could almost get away with not brushing it....almost.
6. Garnier Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil - This truely is what it claims. It can be used on the face, body, or hair. WHAT???!!! Seriously! And you don't need much. A little goes a long way. It's great for dryness and adds a lot of shine all while being fast absorbing! It's a win, win, win!
7. Garnier Damage Eraser Strength Reconstructing Butter - I use this about once a week. It just makes my hair feel a little healthier and stronger.
There you have it! Everything you need to be gorgeous and look and feel your best! I don't use all of these everyday but I just wanted to show you how I survive these harsh months that are coming ahead. The great thing is, most of these are drugstore items! I just love them all! What are your favorite items that help you feel your best??
Until next time!
RoyAna
